We visit one of historic hills in Bulgaria, called Simeonova Mound, where the Bulgarian King Simeon The Great win the epic battle over the Byzantine trips in 917 AD. Just 15 minutes away from Sunny beach, at this spacial place where meets the Bulgarian Medieval history with history of the Bulgarian wine production.

The wine tasting is in small family winery that  is a holder of the first gold medal for Bulgaria from the world’s largest and most influential wine competition Decanter World Wine Awards 2014 in London. Over the past years the winery have won silver and bronze medals. Come withhere to find out why it is believed that King Simeon the Great led and won the Battle from this hill.

Then we stop to the Salt Museum in Pomorie where you can learn about the traditions in salt production from Lake Pomorie in the past. Lovely collection of exhibits. Some of the most interesting exhibits in the collection are authentic salt-working tools such was wooden salt-working barrows, rakes. Next to the museum there are salt pans where salt is produced by ancient technology which you can visit. There are goods that are available to purchase such as salt, face masks using the salt.

There are many unique places in Bulgaria and one of there sites is The Dome Tomp near Pomorie village. Among locals the tomp is known as “the hollow mound”, because the tomb was carefully covered with soil like the mounds left behind by the Thracians. This site exposes a very good mix of Roman architecture and Thracian traditions.
